The cottage is a perfect hideaway nestled in the tranquil countryside along the Dorset and Devon border and comfortably sleeps up to six guests in two double bedrooms and a further twin bedroom. The attractions of nearby Lyme Regis and Charmouth and the iconic Jurassic Coast are all within easy reach of Blackbird Cottage. On the same site we also offer Owl Cottage, Lark Cottage and Swallow Cottage.

The heart of the cottage is an open-plan kitchen and split-level sitting room with coal burning stove, where you’ll no doubt spend many a cosy evening. The luxury stretches beyond the cottage with use of an indoor, heated swim pool and hot tub (private slots bookable). It’s the ideal way to relax after a walk along one of the many trails that start right on your doorstep. Or you might want to just enjoy some peace and relaxation in the enclosed garden, firing up the barbecue for an al fresco meal.

Within easy reach of the cottage are many interesting resorts and towns including Axminster, Bridport, Sidmouth and West Bay, where the popular Broadchurch television series was based and filmed.

The games building comes fully equipped with a selection of DVDs, books and board games, so there’s plenty to keep you entertained at the end of a long and enjoyable day.

Additional Information
Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge per dog). Dogs to be kept on leads please due to sheep or guests who are wary of dogs.
Travel cot, highchair and stair gate available on request. Please bring your own cot linens.
Pool area is accessed by a PIN coded door for security and is time-slot booked for private use. Please provide your own pool towels and supervise children at all times. Please be aware that the swimming pool and spa is currently not available due to COVID-19 policies.
